Profile and reactions

After v12.0, one of my goals this year was to treat this website more like a place where people can react, comment, and connect.

Profile

For the first time, you can create an account and establish a presence within Thunderstorm. While profiles are fairly lightweight today, they lay the groundwork for what’s next. Over time, they’ll become the home for achievements, early feature drops, activity history, and other ways to participate more deeply in the project.

Reactions

In addition to comments, AMP became the core signal you can leave on writing pieces, changelog releases, and feed shots. Inspired by Medium’s Claps and remixed for this universe, they act somewhere between a power lever and a sound loop.

Track Record filters

Records can now be explored through filters, making it easier to navigate years of projects, milestones, talks, and side quests to focus on the moments you want to revisit.

RSS

I also wanted Thunderstorm updates to travel beyond the website itself. Writing and changelog entries now share a single RSS feed. Feel free to subscribe and let me know if it works nicely with your reader.

Improvements and fixes

• Improved signup and login reliability, especially on mobile, with a smoother email code flow and fewer autofill issues.

• Made avatar uploads and profile updates more resilient, including better validation feedback and safer username rules.

• Refined the header and navigation to integrate profile access more cleanly and surface the latest changelog version more clearly.
